The HYPNO-BAND Weight Loss System combines Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), suggestive and analytical hypnotherapy techniques that help you explore, analyse and change your eating habits. Using the mind/body connection we fit a “virtual gastric band” to your stomach, making you eat less and less often.
The HypnoBand programme could change your life forever.
Imagine having the results usually achieved by having a surgical Gastric Band fitted but not having to go through surgery, or spending thousands of pounds!
Gastric Band surgery is not for everyone. Usually surgery is only carried out on people classified as “clinically obese” and with a high Body Mass Index (BMI). A surgical Gastric Band works by reducing the size of the stomach. You therefore eat smaller portions and feel full more quickly. Through this method it is possible to reduce weight easily. This surgical method does have drawbacks however. It is very costly, typically costing £4000 to £6000 and of course you will need to go through a surgical procedure.
What if you could have all the benefits of a surgical Gastric Band without the surgery and cost?
Well now you can!
The Hypno-Band hypnotherapy system creates a state of mind where you believe you actually have a Gastric Band fitted! You will eat smaller portions and feel full.
The Hypno-Band system is a long term solution to your weight problems.
How does it work?
Sharon has extended her programmes from four to six sessions, in which she takes you through dealing with the issues before having a gastric band fitted. This of course happens in your mind. By using suggestion and visualisation your mind will be convinced that your stomach has become smaller and that you need less food. By eating less and less often you will begin to lose weight. The process uses hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural techniques to help you achieve your ideal weight – and stay there! Each session in the HypnoBand system lasts for one hour and before beginning the process a full assessment will be carried out.
Does it involve surgery?
No! The HYPNO-BAND system is a non-invasive behaviour changing method using the techniques of hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy.
Does it hurt?
On the contrary. The HYPNO-BAND procedure is extremely relaxing and pleasurable.
What is the HYPNO-BAND weight loss system?
The HYPNO-BAND System is a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and hypnotherapy techniques. It helps you explore, analyse and change your eating habits. Using the mind/body connection a “virtual gastric band” is fitted to your stomach. This makes you eat less and less often.
Are there side effects?
No. There are no side effects associated with undergoing this procedure.
So it’s safe?
Yes! the HYPNO-BAND system is perfectly safe.
Will I be under the hypnotherapists control?
No hypnotherapist can make you do anything you do not want to do nor make you behave in a way you would not normally behave.
Am I suitable for the HYPNO-BAND weight loss system?
If you are over-weight and really want and are committed to reducing your weight then you should be suitable. The only exception would be if there is a physiological reason for your weight problems or if you are taking certain medications.
Will it work for me?
The key to success is YOU! No weight reduction system will work unless you are committed to losing weight. You must be prepared to change your eating habits and life-style. If you are totally serious about reducing your weight then it will certainly work for you. The HYPNO-BAND system provides you with the tools and ability to reduce your weight and maintain a healthier body.
Is it guaranteed?
Like any medical or therapy procedure there can be no definite guarantees. Even a surgeon cannot guarantee that an actual gastric band will work. However, the virtual gastric band has been proven to be effective in aiding significant weight reduction. It should be noted that it is YOU that holds the key to losing weight. No system will work if you are not 100% committed. The mind is a very powerful instrument and by using the HYPNO-BAND system you will have the tools and power to change your eating habits. The only way to shed significant amounts of weight is to eat less! The HYPNO-BAND system helps you to change your behaviour and life-style which in turn provides you with the ability to shed weight and remain that lighter, fitter you.
So, how much does the HYPNO-BAND programme cost and what do I get for my money?
Please see ““Fees page”” for details. Sharon’s programme is six hours. This offers additional value to the standard 4-hour programme. It also includes hand outs and cd recordings that you use for reinforcement. A full dietary and medical history is taken and an initial assessment completed during session one. Within the programme you will be introduced to hypnosis and your journey to shedding weight begins. You will find new ways to deal with old habits/triggers and begin the process of having your virtual gastric band fitted. The process will be reinforced and you will learn a different way of eating. Following the sessions you should use your CD to back-up and reinforce the work you have done.
We all generally live our lives at a very fast pace; we’re always rushing to be somewhere by a certain time; rushing to work, rushing to get the grocery shopping before rushing to pick the kids up from school; racing to meet deadlines; crowding the mind with endless thoughts, cares, concerns, wories; frantically trying to catch up whilst feeling we’re on a treadwheel and out of control; filling every waking second of each day with some activity becase there never seems to be enough hours in a day to complete everything that needs to be done.
Is this You? Do you ever feel you want to shout STOP !!!
WELL YOU CAN!
Leading a stressful life can wear us down and long-term, can lower our immune system and put our health at risk.
Hypnotherapy can help you switch off and allow you to find your quiet mind and a restful place of peace and tranquility. And in doing so, you may find that your overall health and wellbeing benefit from just taking some time out to unwind and “let go”.
I was a certified (Mongan method) HypnoBirthing practitioner, I now offer a special programme for mums-to-be based on the concepts of natural birth of an english obstetrician, Dr. Grantly Dick-Read. He embraced the concept that, if fear and tension are absent, then a comfortable, natural birth really IS possible.
All too often in our western world, the common perception of childbirth is one where fear and tension and the accompanying expectation of pain persist even though womens’ bodies are beautifully made for the task!
The techniques taught include self-hypnosis, visualisation, breathing and relaxation. They are easy to learn and apply. They empower mum to have a birth experience that is calm, relaxed and comfortable. They also give mum (and her birth partner) the opportunity to mentally, physically & emotionally prepare for the birth of their baby.
This is a special programme consisting of 5 hours of tuition and practice (split into 2-3 sessions). This can take place in the comfort of your own home if you wish, but please note, mileage costs may apply. (Please contact me for more details).
Quitting smoking is one of the best decisions you will ever make and, if you REALLY want to kick the habit for good, it doesn’t necessarily need to be difficult or unpleasant.
Did you know that the body begins its journey of recovery within 20 minutes of the last cigarette being smoked? Granted nicotine may be a difficult substance to go without for couple of days when you decide to become a non-smoker, but after a few days it is out of your system and most smokers agree that quitting smoking is a challenge for a short time but very achievable. And the benefits to your long-term health far outweigh any downsides you may have in mind.
So that’s it! A lifetime of freedom from this unhealthy habit awaits! So why hasn’t it been that easy previously? Simple – you didn’t deal with the psychological addiction of smoking. In fact, you probably put cigarettes up on some kind of a pedestal. If you think that stopping smoking is depriving you of something, then it is just a matter of time until you start again.
If you really want to stop smoking, (and your motivation is the key to your success), then hypnotherapy can be an effective tool in helping you quit for good and it will also help you deal with all of the emotional and psychological aspects of giving up smoking.
And just think of all the positive benefits – both to your health and to your pocket!
Fears and phobias are common – over 10% of people experience a simple phobia at some time. From elevators, spiders and birds, to heights, dentists and open spaces, there is nothing we cannot develop an anxiety or phobia about. Happily, hypnosis can provide an extremely effective cure for these problems as it provides the opposite of anxiety – deep relaxation – whilst re-training the mind to respond differently, in a more acceptable way, to the feared object or situation.
For one reason or another, many of us have difficulty in expressing our feelings. We may have been taught as we were growing up that certain feelings were unacceptable. Some of us were taught that we didn’t have any right to have feelings. For those of us who don’t know how to express our feelings or cannot tolerate them, food has become a means of “stuffing” them. Some people have in fact effectively been taught to eat when they are upset by a well-meaning caretaker. Children are often given food when they are emotional. This can make us feel better, at least temporarily. Many people are familiar with “comfort eating”.
For some people however, these periods of overeating can seem to take on a life of their own. The person caught up in this behaviour may find themselves eating well past the point of being full and have feelings of self-loathing afterwards. They may have eaten so much that they feel unwell too.
Hypnotherapy can help you uncover the reason why you use food in this way, and help you find alternative and healthier ways of dealing with those feelings.
